We have made some improvements! Copper room has been renovated and now boasts a fantastic new bathroom with walk-in rain shower. We have improved facilities in the kitchen area to include a new sink area. Copper room now has a large patio area, where you can enjoy the sunshine.

ABOUT US:
Thistledene was set up to provide a well finished, relaxed atmosphere for those that enjoy exploring.
Our private, dog-friendly rooms are located in the centre of Braunton, North Devon. We are close to North Devon's award-winning beaches and other attractions. Our spacious rooms are separate from our house and have their own en-suite bathrooms to give you the flexibility to do what you want when you want.
We know that dogs deserve holidays too and therefore dogs are welcome all year round. We accept a maximum of two dogs per room. We are happy to recommend the best local dog-friendly places and activities.
We are ideally located and set up for activities such as walking, surfing, cycling, golfing & beachgoers, see below for more details.
Surf some of the best waves in the UK
We are a 7-minute drive to Saunton and a 10-minute drive to Croyde bay. Offering a variety of waves for all levels & abilities. We can help recommend the best place to surf on the day and help to organise lessons and equipment rental.
Saunton is a fantastic beach for kitesurfing.
Woolacombe, Morte hoe and Ilfracombe are a 20-minute drive away from Thistledene.
Walk the SW coastal path
We are a few minutes walk from the end of the Woolacombe to Braunton Leg of the SW coastal path. We are easy to find as we are on the A361 into Braunton and we work regularly with the luggage transfers service to ensure your bags arrive and depart safely. We will Liaise directly with Luggage transfers so that you can relax and enjoy your trip.
Play the famous Links course
Saunton Sands is 2 miles from Thistledene. Both of our rooms can be made into twin rooms for group golf trips.
Cycle the Tarka Trail
This disused railway line spans 48km of the stunning North Devon coastline. The trail is smooth and car free perfect for both families and high-speed explorers alike.
We can help you rent bikes and advise where to stop for lunch.

Stunning dog walks
Your dogs are welcome on Saunton, Putsborough and Woolacombe all year round and on Croyde from November through until April.
Weddings
We are a 5-minute drive from The Ash Barton estate and Saunton Sands Hotel and regularly have guests staying from these places.
We can help arrange a taxi to and from the accommodation.
